Film Festival Screenings -Yipeeeee!
My second venture into the world of independent filmmaking, DESPERATELY SEEKING PAUL McCARTNEY, is screening at two film festivals in So Cal soon, and has also scored a distribution deal with MVP video for a 2008 release. The movie, written and directed by the very talented Marc Cushman, who also stars, is about Ruth Anson and her journey back to 1965 when she was an entertainment reporter and, at the tender age of 18, was proposed to by Paul McCartney while interviewing The Beatles. It’s a true story and the actual footage of the interview appears in the film. I’m Assoc Producer, and have 5 songs in the soundtrack. It will be screening at the Fallbrook Film Festival April 26th and at the Mocumentary Film Fest in Hollywood May 3rd. It’s a really fun flick with a happy “Beatles vibe” -it also stars my long time pal, Jeff Toscynski as a Paul McCartney tribute performer (which he is)
the songs and more info are at www.myspace.com/dearpaul (the film’s original title is “DEAR PAUL”)
