BEATLEMANIA IS BACK! 15 new songs on Beatlesque Too!

BEATLESQUE TOO, my follow up to last year’s BEATLESQUE ONE, my best selling and best reviewed work to date, has escaped! It focusses on the 1964 sound of The Beatles – Beatlemania. Mainly the albums (US release versions here) Meet The Beatles, Hard Day’s Night, The Beatles Second Album, Something New and The Early Beatles.

Those records were filled with strong solid Lennon vocals- maybe the best he ever did. No one has sung like that since. No, I’m not knocking Paul, but in that early Beatlemania period John definitely dominated the sound.

My attempt on this collection was to write songs (as well as my abilities permit) that John & Paul might have written back then. A sort of “what if?” they had done another LP that year? It was a production challenge, but I’m happy with the results.
