PLAYDATE Children’s Radio Show

Playdate is a show and a CD. (Soon there will be two CDs)

I wrote, performed and broadcast the one hour show weekly on an internet network called Evolving Artist for about one year. The show recieved much praise, including a full page spread in the LA TIMES by Brenda Rees.

I’d describe the show as an original Alan project (featuring mostly my music and humor) heavily influenced by Monty Python and Pee Wee’s Playhouse. It is set up so kids can draw and write stories as they listen to the show, then email them in to my site where I post the pictures and sometimes read the stories on the air. There’s a funny news report, and even a 5 minute aerobic workout featured in every show.

I’m now pitching the show to Sirius and XM radio as well as other radio networks and their affiliates with my producing partner Andrew Cottone.  I was also lucky enough to have the legendary British actor/broadcaster Derek Partridge as the snobby anouncer on the show- but that story is another blog for another day…
